This program is part of the Antrim County Visiting Authors' Series "Write Here, Write Now", a collaborative project between Crosshatch: Center for Art and Ecology, Elk Rapids Public Library, Bellaire Public Library, and funded by a grant from the Grand Traverse Rotary Charities. Registration required, limited to 15 participants. Age 16+.

Join us for an author presentation by Anne Marie Oomen (Love, Sex, and 4H, As Long As I Know You). Anne Marie will be releasing her sixth essay collection,"The Long Fields", a celebration of rural life as she experienced it growing up on a farm and then into an adulthood marked by both wandering and homing. At its heart, "The Long Fields" voices the best of Midwestern rural living: a relationship to land, stewarding a place, and honoring the sacred quotidian.

The first 25 registrations will receive a free copy of "The Long Fields: Essays". You must be present at this program to receive a copy. This event will take place at Bee Well Mead & Cider, 116 N. Bridge St., Bellaire, MI 49615

Sound Bath or Sound Journey with Rebecca Rankin

Tune out the outside world and turn inward through a journey with sound.  With the use of instruments like crystal singing bowls, drums, tuning forks, chimes, and more, the sound journey will quiet your mind as the vibrations resonate in your body transporting you to a dream-like state of vibrational healing and deep relaxation.

This event will be held outdoors on the library lawn and is appropriate for adults.
