Join us for an afternoon of winter fun. Saturday Feb. 15th from 2-4 pm. Enjoy sledding on the hillside and warm up by a bonfire while sipping a cup of hot chocolate. All ages are invited. Bring your own sled!

Downtown Elk Rapids presents the 3rd annual “It’s Chilly” Cook-off – February 15th 2pm-5pm. Join us for an afternoon of fun for the whole family! Heating things up on River St, 15 local businesses compete for title of “Best Chili”, try them all and let your taste buds be the judge! Keeping it cool at the Memorial Park outdoor ice rink, Elk Rapids Hockey players will be guiding free skate lessons. Build your own s’more and head over to the Sledding Party at Elk Rapids Library. Chili Cook-off tickets $5 – available in advance at Java Jones and Nifty Things in Elk Rapids or day of at any participating business. Ice Skating and Sledding events are free, bring your own skates and sled – weather permitting.

Join us for this fundraising event to benefit the Library Capital Campaign. Be sure to check-out “Tome,” their new book-inspired craft cocktail. For every “Tome” purchased, $5 will be donated to the Library Capital Campaign. Everyone is encouraged to bring a used book to participate in the “Bring a Book - Take a Book Exchange.” A $5/person event entry fee will be donated to the Library.
